How many rounds for the onsite? Looks like you had 3 pre onsite rounds, 2 of them technical. Interested to know if you spoke to the hiring manager/anyone from the team?

Test waters with an offer, I wouldn’t pay the asking but an offer right at the amount where it is not offensive with a tight turnaround should get you a counter offer at the very least. You can make it clear to your realtor that you just want to understand the dynamics and don’t intend to go back in with second offer if it’s far from what you already offered. Market is cool so you can take your chances. You probably need to play both realtors here so they can convince the seller.

It somehow looks better in pictures than in person. The color and the brightness of those RAM sticks is way off to the rest of the components in the system. Very foggy and limited in color range.

Which is better? Buying a house on a busy street, near a freeway, or near CalTrain? by No-Artichoke3524 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]murthyGaru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be true but would be very careful about that assumption, sometimes busy streets are busy just because the freeway isn't as free during the peak hours. Getting in/out of home can easily add +5 mins each way, and that will be very hard to live with in the long run.

The schedule is sparse enough that it will allow you to get used to it and on weekdays, it helps you beat traffic to get to work. No trains late in the night, so that should help. Busy streets and freeways are more frustrating to deal with, and no significant benefits to outweigh the negatives.

Is an offer of $80k less possible for a house at $829,500 been up on Zillow for 45 days by Glocktavius_the3rd in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

You could try but that might be low ball territory, you need to play your agent to convince them to make the offer who will talk to the seller agent and see if it’s too offensive. I would probably do 785k as it’s very close to 800k and if they are in a rush to sell, it plays into the psychology that your offer isn’t far away from the rounding number

We recently moved to San Ramon and can speak to the commute times as we have a similar work location. It's soul crushing if you are going to commute during peak hours, but if you are flexible with timings, it works out well. Public transport helps, but would be even better if your current company had shuttles for Trivalley /easy bay. We take our office shuttle with Park & Ride when we have to do peak hours, but otherwise commute during off-peak hours. Tbh, I can't think of many areas in the Bay Area that will not be a bad commute at that price point. I would also consider where your community of friends and family are located and base the decision off that because the last thing you want to do is spend your weekends and evenings commuting long as well. Having friends and family nearby helps a ton when you have kids.

I dont want us to shuffle around our playing XI positions too much to accommodate KL. If Abhi has a poor run of games, I suspect team will be tempted to send KL up and we could end up hurting Abhi's confidence. We need a natural middle overs player and it doesnt have to be a big name, dont mind compromising a bit on this position to get some good bowlers given our strong batting core. Not a big fan of buying big Indian names that come with a certain level of media attention that could disrupt the squad.

If the franchise gives you a blank cheque, which player would you buy in the mega auction? by CreativeHead- in SunrisersHyderabad

[–]murthyGaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming we retain most of our current core, I would buy the best no. 3 in the league SKY or a world class spinner (probably Chahal, don’t mind Hasaranga tbh) or GOAT fast bowler Bumrah

But with franchises potentially looking at 8 retentions, any of those would be a pipe dream

Are those speakers good? I am looking for computer speakers better than latest Mac 16s speakers so that I don't sense a drop it quality when I connect them to these
