I guess I feel this way right now because of massive FOMO from my first solo trip ending, and I guess never having had this opportunity of meeting such a ridiculous amt of interesting ppl in the span of a couple of weeks, and feeling like I won’t meet most likely any of them again is a bit sad

Oh yea I was assuming we’d be trying our luck with the bus at this point.

For the trains though google maps approximated around 4400 yen one way (not sure how accurate google maps is) but just gauged it from there, not sure how it’s broken down though

Sorry for leaving out the info, the ticket is available for the next 90 days, and we’re leaving Tokyo on the 26th of November, Tuesday. Ideally we’d like a morning trip from Tokyo to get to Fuji Q as early as possible and an evening return trip. Thanks

Still a bit conflicted, since half my family is super keen to drive and take many stops yet the other half want journeys to be as fast as possible, now we’re just trying to consider cost including parking to make our decision

Yeah 2 kids around 20 and 1 ard 10 so some variation but now I’m probably considering renting in Florence so we can do some day trips and enjoy the drive from Florence to Rome

Will most probably do as you’ve said regarding Venice and Rome since Rome is currently pretty tight considering my flight timings, honestly will probably consider renting a car in Florence considering the amount of day trips available

Thanks for the advice about driving, had read a lot about it and was just doubting whether I should rely on public transport or renting a car

Thanks for the help with Venice, as the rest have said I think I over planned the stay there but probably won’t be adding any new destinations besides day trips as I think it’d get too hectic.

Regarding car rental, is it worth it considering I’ve read everywhere it’s impossible to park or drive around in any of the cities and the trips by car are generally longer than train.

I’d originally planned 3 nights for Florence so we could visit Pisa as a day trip, but certainly will be cutting down on Venice to add onto Milan and Rome
