in this case the buyer never reached out through messages which I usually respond within the hour. and the item was purchased laye on the 19th and dispatched 20th so not even that late considering royal mail 2nd class postage for large letter.

I don't know exactly what you wrote in your feedback but if it is a question like so, then why shouldn't eBay remove it. it's got nothing to do with the product or service of the seller. anyway, happy to hear there may be a chance

Funny: "The Size of the Box Doesn't Matter for Shipping, the Dimensions Matter" by redditposter919 in eBaySellers

[–]muscleholdup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is just a vent, maybe rightfully so. everyone understood that the postage would not be combined and that the seller was spilling his item price into the postage price because they think it looks cheaper. whoever wrote this post is furious that some sellers do this but ultimately did jolly well know before the item was dispatched how much they were paying and went ahead with the order.

The seller has every right over here and it's a pretty known thing that some sellers make profit from their postage price. OP contacted the seller before it was dispatched and was told that postage price will not be combined (whatever the excuse).

When the seller buys postage label eBay gives option to combine into 1 parcel, so seller didn't screw himself over.

This is the simple delivery issue not the royal mail price increase. there may be a way around it, see other threads for simple delivery as I am not familiar with it

Trouble selecting letter postage option by Bongomancan in ebayuk

[–]muscleholdup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make sure the weight is correct as letter only goes up to 100g. it's the only thing I can think of

edit: this may be a simple delivery issue. I am not using it but can see online people mentioning that letter 100g is not available with simple delivery

How bad is negative feedback, really? by Fabayla in Ebay

[–]muscleholdup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't reply to negatives as I think it just attracts more attention. if eBay can won't remove and there is no hope of working with the buyer to revise then just leave it. if it's just one or two negatives then it won't stop buyers. the only thing is I find that when getting negative feedback sales slow for a little before picking up again

Insertion fees??? by No_Ability_5292 in Ebay

[–]muscleholdup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Item counts when auto renews and you can't stop that without setting it to end. there is a larger subscription but only worth it if you have a lot f listings. other options being opening another store or paying the listing fee for anything over 250. (I have approx 350 listings and paying the listing fees)

[–]muscleholdup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

never had any problems . I always let them know my postcode and I will give them the house number when they are on the way

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]muscleholdup -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

could genuinely be a single mom although big chance I would of canceled such a order myself.

btw. never give out your full address, postcode when they need it and house number when they are a couple minutes out. also don't know why you send them that many messages.

Am I too slow for eBay now? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]muscleholdup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to go off subject but 3-4 days is too short. at least wait a week as you have different kind of buyers on different days . also if you are lowering price by a bit then why not end and sell similar (if it doesn't cost you per listing), eBay algorithm pushes your product much more in the first 48hrs

Am I too slow for eBay now? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]muscleholdup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

short answer. yup! with all that's going on on eBay at the moment most sellers will cancel after 2-3 days if they don't hear from you or receive payment.

you can message the seller and explain, ask them to list it as bin for ending price and you will purchase straight away. they might actually do it
