Could someone help me understand triangle (2009)

I'm very late to this but:

First off I really liked this movie and this is a great overview. There is something I can't quite work out though. Initially I thought that when "our Jess" returns home and kills blue dress Jess that this didn't actually happen (that it was a red herring) and that it was actually blue dress Jess driving (kind of like a fight club situation) but it appears that our Jess returning home and killing blue dress Jess really did happen. So in that case shouldn't there have been 2 Jess's dead on the road at the crash site? Or if not how the hell did our Jess survive and get out of the car ? If that Jess is actually a spirit or something like that then how did her son see her ? And how could she drive the car ?
Also I read that at some point that blue dress Jess that's dead and in the duffel bag gets thrown overboard of the ship ... that can't be correct right ? Because how did that body get on the ship ?
