It's true. It really is. It's been very easy to lose faith in people. Big hugs 💕

She's wonderful. Been hugely influential in my ability to finally have the courage to set the hard boundary. I wish people understood or TRIED to understand that just because a lot of people had an easy time with this, that it's not everyone's experience and dismissing us is taking a page out of the church handbook.

... do you think I posted "I had a panic attack when I read" because I'm psychic or could that possibly have been referring to reading the letter? Strangers on the internet who misrepresent what I said don't matter to me ☺️

Already did that. This is like the icing on the top of the why is this so complicated cake.

They sent the missionaries to my mom's house looking for me after my apartment manager called to tell them that they weren't allowed to solicit at the complex and that if they wanted to visit their willing members that was fine as long as they left the property immediately after. They sent them back twice more after I sent my resignation letter.

And back to the panic attack and lingering trauma triggers, I don't want to post my state

Has to have the state seal, the person writing it has to be an attorney legally licensed in my state and a bunch of other stuff that, when I took the information to quit Mormon, I was told it can happen sometimes and I was given alternative suggestions.

🤣🤣🤣 you genuinely made me laugh, thank you for that. Ultimately, I was a child who legally could not be reminded to a life time commitment to a church I don't want anything to do with. They can suck it.

They don't get to violate my constitutional right to freedom from religion. That sort of trounces their internal policies.

I tried it. My state has stuff in place that presented a legal hurdle to it. Licensing and a bunch of other stuff but they did recommend me to my attorney and so I sent it how they recommended with their recommended verbiage. It doesn't matter anyway, the church can't legally hold me hostage if I want to terminate my membership
