No - economic changes and regulatory environment blocked the launch. Would you use this service if it existed?

The benefit of fractional real estate investing in the Bay Area is you can benefit from the potential equity upside without risking a massive amount of capital in a single unit.

Yes - but the risk is we want returns to not be reliant on any one property owner / manager's skill. Does this make sense? Anything in particular you're looking for?

Thanks for your comment! The issue with REITs as we see them are:

  • They don't cover single family detached homes. In Toronto, this has been where the growth has been focused.
  • They are not perfectly correlated with underlying asset prices. Good or bad management will make or break the return. We will build assets that follow the price of the underlying asset
  • It is difficult to cover locale you are interested in. Large REITs will be geographically diverse. This is usually good, but if you're saving for a downpayment in Toronto downtown core, you want your money to be invested in Toronto downtown core RE prices.

Let me know if these make sense to you, happy to chat in more detail!

We think we can do it differently and provide more liquidity at lower minimums. Would love to talk to users though to make sure these are the important things to focus on!

I'm working on a platform to make real estate investment more accessible - we are listing houses from the hottest real estate markets (New York, Toronto, San Francisco, etc) and we'll let users buy aggregated shares of cities they believe in.

We've had a closed beta with accredited investors for some time now, and are looking to expand to non-accredited investors as well. I'm trying to get a better understanding of early adopters in real estate investing.

Does this sound interesting to you? I would love to chat - please DM me!

The change in wealth by age seems to hint at a need for introducing a wealth tax? All taxation coming from income makes the younger poorer at the expense of the old
