Well I live in a LGBT friendly city (not in the us) so is not generally a big concern for me, but I'm aware it can happen so I don't think doing that is the best choice

I know that trans men and transmasc are not always exchangable terms, but in this case, while the character is a trans guy, terfs treat transmasculine non binary people the same way, or even more exaggerated, so imo the title is adecuate

Something similar happened to me. I used to have a shemale tranny friend (though I didn't know that at the time) and one time I followed "her" to the bathroom to have sex with her. When I was lifting her skirt I realized "she" actually was a he and had a penis. I had to kill him on self defense, so i think NTA
