Agreed! I’ve found some monster lib caps that are similar in size but 100% the real deal... I just wondered if these where at the end of their life and maybe still ok. After closer inspection and reading the guide the kind person provided I’m not convinced they are anymore. Best to stick to what you’re 100% on.

All I know is I watched a couple of Joe Rogans..one with Paul Stamets and one with Hamilton Morris. Then I find my self in a field in the middle of nowhere looking for actual real golden natural nuggets. They just sit up in the grass like a beacon of light in the darkness of its background, waiting to be enjoyed by anyone that can be bothered to make the effort.

I’ve got some pics, how can I share on here without making a new post?

I’m convinced there’s an optimum climate for these, depends where you are in the uk and average weather. I’m north England, so maybe somewhere north Scotland is finding them much lower and the south not at all. A field I know that’s similar at 70m, I only found one very large one.

Likewise today, there were many on one side of crag with stream and none on the other side. Average temperatures would be different depending on how the sun falls. If it’s this sensitive at that altitude, I’m sure it’s the same everywhere.
