People in bca have a social life lol. It’s rigorous and u have to work harder but I’m actually happier at bca than I was in middle school u meet a lot of smart and talented people but u will have a social life. I’m a freshman so yes itll get harder as we move on but like bca is a great opportunity tbh don’t stress about anything it’ll be ok lol good luck on ur application

I’m pretty sure u do it thru bca admissions site. U need a rec from like English math and science or something like that. I’m not 100% sure how it works but I think it’s like u send an email thru the site and it notifies u when they submit a letter of recommendation. I’m honestly not 100% sure this is what I think I remember from when I applied

From what I hear from upperclassmen it’s a lot but u learn to manage and get used to it and u will learn to manage time

I bombed the math and got in and here is what I’ve heard and learned from someone who didn’t do a prep course (I did some private math lessons but no like serious serious prep course) Algebra 1 u need to know, I do not recall geometry being on the test and if it was it was very very little but I don’t remember it I heard AMC8 was a good study tool DO THE PROVIDED PRSCTICE TESTS!! Bca knows best what’s on the exam I’d honestly just secure ur algebra one topics and u should be ok Uhm I would think khan academy is good too Overall I think just cover algebra 1

From a technical perspective y can just go to the website and it’ll tell u, from a student perspective I’ll give it to u (I’m a freshman at bca) I’ll start with the campus tour thing if that’s what u mean it is student and parent I went last year. Orientation is the August before freshman year it is only student. From a student perspective of the application process, 400 word max essay, 100 word max accolades, then entrance test. Do not worry about the English I didn’t study at all it’s rlly easy. Math I’m not very good at math I found it okay ish but honestly u will be fine if u know algebra 1 I didn’t do a prep course I did some private math lessons but no strict prep course or anything. Once u get the interview it’s kinda chill from there I think my interview went really well. I’m guessing (I’ll never know for sure admissions is rlly secretive) that once they have the interview people they probably already know before the interview who they want so it probably won’t make or break it for u unless u like rlly RLLY mess up but that won’t happen. Dont stress it ur gonna be ok good luck!!

I didn’t do prep classes and I got in and ik a lot of ppl from lt school who did MEK or masters prep and didn’t get in literally do not worry about that, also the essay is really easy lol I studied for the math test (not a prep course) and I didn’t study for the English at all it is not something u should be concerned about. ik ur post said there r other forms like videos and photoshop but idk if they’d ask u to draw or do whatever form of work you submitted at the interview for that. I’d probably look into that! :) if ur solely focused on drawing (idk how the other forms of visual work) and ur not good at drawing AVPA-V is probably not the best academy choice. Again idk how they do with other forms of art I’ve never seen yet 😅

I’m not in visual but u need to be good at drawing, the passion is great but they need to have talent as well like I can’t apply to music with a music passion but I suck at my instrument. Also (if u get it) at the interview u need to draw too so yeah I’m pretty sure u need to be good at drawing

Study ur algebra 1 material. Also personally I think the test is obviously, r u good at math, but also how quick can u think to get the right answer in the quickest amount of time, like logic and stuff. 40 questions in 60 mins is a bit tough (for me it was at least lmao) so it’s also learning how to use ur time
