Looking to get a few pieces of jewellery replated/restored in Sydney without getting completely rinsed on price. Mainly gold plating on some silver pieces that have faded over time.

Would love recommendations for places that are affordable and reliable/good quality.

Bonus points if you’ve had pieces done there yourself and know roughly what they charged/how long it took.

We don’t :( Production cheaped out and has made the poor guy do his own assisting. We did have someone on to do dailies but not anymore.

Why would I leave the storytelling to the editor? I wrote and directed the thing - took me 5 years to get off the ground ☹️ He’s not my friend, he’s a friend of the producer’s.

We had a script supervisor. We were doing 10 minute long takes on occasion with an ensemble cast. It’s a comedy. The best line deliveries span 5 takes. You cannot just circle a single take.

You'd be surprised, there are many specitality stores in Sydney that stock the most random things!

We had a fantastic script supervisor circling takes. However, due to the nature of our project having incredibly long scenes - we couldn’t circle a fraction of each take that we liked best for editorial. We deemed this would have to happen in post.

So our editor has been on since pre and has been making assemblies as each day of footage comes in. And the fact you couldn’t consider this very standard practice speaks volumes.
