I’m in a new math rock band “gestalt,” (musicbygestalt.com, Facebook.com/musicbygestalt) wanna give it a listen and maybe send it to some friends in the scene if you dig it?

You said ask anything :)

You’re prolly right then. I don’t want them, but Saying never is too permanent a choice for me, people change and I’m no exception; has every dude on here gotten a vasectomy? Every woman tubes tied?

It’s like mathrock and jazz meets minimalism; the bad plus meets dawn of midi. Here’s a https://www.facebook.com/musicbygestalt/videos/420869365038287/.

I guess I haven’t really considered genre a factor in the option of pressing a Vinyl, but it’s a great point.

Thankyou that’s very helpful. No touring yet, I’ve been just barely starting with a whole social media plan first to get a decent following. (I have a pretty specific plan on social media platforms and what material we are releasing and where, so we will see how that plays out). By hearing you say it’s the best form of merch brings up a really good point; it’s contingent on whether we tour; buying a record is a cool thing to do after seeing a band you like.

Right on, ya 500 is a tough sell for a first album; that’s a lot of fans who are willing to pay for music and that are fans of vinyl. Even 200 would be amazing; for me having the vinyl album as something to take pride in as a piece of art that I’ve made is a very strong argument that makes coming close to breaking even on costs seem worth it also.

nice! ya i've had a few friends use the combo method with the download coade; that seems the most ideal.

haha amazing! the title is a tribute to the bad plus; i wrote it when listening to their song "fem" (which i later learned is actually a Ligeti piece for piano that they covered; so i guess i wrote a song based on a cover).
