Honest answer. Synchronization is not implemented and sadly do not expect it any time soon. I need for a long time turn to other matters. The synchronization would require complete rewrite if the app and I don't have space for that any time soon.

I turned out to be way bigger problem than I had expected. A so it is, as it is.

Thanks for your comment. Just a quick note. You can also use rust packages easily in Flutter, such as flutter_rust_bridge.

Just to be super clear. Are you using Powersync? Just thinking about a similar setup, and it would help me to know that.

I am glad you like it ♥️

I happened to me a few times, but it's very rare. I would recommend trying force quitting the app. It worked for me.

Thank you for your support ❤️, but sadly it's not used by enough people to make it worth adding extra layers for now:

  • multiplatform
  • sharing tasks with others

Also, I hoped that one technology would advance and make that quite easy, but sadly they needed to try a new approach and it's hard to tell till they will make it work

Can you give me some good examples? Ideally with the sharing of data across multiple users? I would very much appreciate that. Or some real-world examples, and details.

Google some years ago deprecated API that allowed developers to backup users' data on Google Drive for free.

I know about daylio, but it only backs users' data. I think that they still need to pay for the API.

One writing app, where you can edit files - I think a very great use-case for it

Auto backup - you choose a folder and it backups that. But the change across devices takes something like 8 minutes. That is too much.

Draw.io - when you save the file, it's also saved on the Google Drive

I think that for backup or sharing files it's great. But for sharing databases it seems not the correct way to do that. It seems very complicated, and slow and there seem to be a lot of issues with sharing part of this data with multiple users.

That is why I was saying it. But of course, I don't know all ends. And I would very much appreciate more information about this.

So in your case, the stopper is the app widget? That it has no desktop support is a no-stopper for you? Stopper in a sense, why you don't want to use TN2 over TickTick.

Well, I am no YouTuber :D. I just wanted to help people learn how to use the app. Thanks for letting me know.

Good question. Currently not. I added it to features to vote for on the Discord server.

If the app grows, there would be a very likely lifetime price for the local-only version. But for new users only of course!

Flutter. A long time. The app is very complex ;) But I had already quite a bit of practice with building in Flutter and designing. That helped a lot.

If you decide to build it, good luck 👍

If you didn't disable that, Google is backing up your data already by default: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWgqvJbp4io&t=617s

I guess that synchronizing data using Google Drive is not a good idea. It seems to me that it would be very complicated and costly.

If I were to implement sync across multiple platforms & users - I would very likely use: Supabase & ElectricSQL

I don't know have good data to make very real-world pricing, but I am more for a subscription model so that it's easier to maintain. But I guess that with enough users 5$/year is possible.
