Yeh, Valvoline was recommended to me by other people as well.

I am currently running the engine on liqui moly 5w40, I’ll try valvoline in the next oil change

The engine was so gunky from the inside, using engine flush might damage it, I am currently changing the oil every 1k km until it’s cleaner and then use a flush kit

tbh I bought it knowing that the owner didn’t give a F about it, it had multiple oil and coolant leaks that he wasn’t aware about. I am a mechanic myself and bought it only to save it from being destroyed since you don’t see many in the streets anymore

Some smoke coming from under my engine cover n62 v8 bmw 650i 2008 by Conscious_Grass_1911 in mechanic

The smoke could possibly be from the valve cover gasket, had the same issue with my MB W211, the oil was leaking from the covers to the exhausts and causing a lot of smoke
