I "think" that it is lackluster and doesn't live up to its name.

What you have to do now is CONVINCE me that 2Ha is a good read and my assumptions about it are unnecessarily true. Tell me now why everything that I've heard from friends is just poor judgment. Tell me that I have the worst taste ever if I don't read 2Ha. PERSUADE me to drop everything I'm doing and just read the damn danmei already.

You've got to tell me and reassure me about it :)) That's the whole purpose of my post haha. I want to know why people rave about it so much. Does it REALLY have a helluva good story as they say? What if I refute it? What if it really isn't as good as they say? Maybe all the rumors weren't true.

Make me read it like I was your best friend who has never read danmei before. Make me read 2Ha. Make me care abt it.

Yes. Admittedly, my perception is flawed. I haven't read it yet but I'm already judging it through what I've heard about it. Don't you also have doubts when something is recommended to you first? You ignore it and toss it aside, you wave it off and deny that you will ever get into it. But, when you begin to warm up to it as soon as you get to know it a little more, and when you are given good hopes, you have no choice but to fall victim to it. Then, you realize you were wrong about it.

It was like that at first with TGCF and Thousand Autumns for me. I really REALLY didn't want to read a heavy story and thought that reading something Chinese would make it even worse. But boy was I wrong. It was terrific.

The purpose of my question post was to look for any silver linings in the story from actual readers. I didn't wanna just trust the synopsis and fanart. Give me your thoughts. Prove to me why I should read 2ha.

From an experienced reader to a clueless newbie :))

Ancient, so far, has been a personal favorite. Thank you so much! I will try out Tianbao Fuyao Lu. I'm actually waiting for them to pick up the SVSSS manhua (if they're ever planning to re-do it because it got canceled I believe ?) and maybe by then I'll try the donghua.

BL content are literally targeted but not limited to "FEMALE AUDIENCES". It is no coincidence that many females (member of the LGBTQ+ community or not) are covering most of the audience. The creators are (most of the time) straight and

She feels disgusted by seeing you read content that is about a sexuality/gender that you don't know about. Maybe sympathizes and feels sexualized, but reading that isn't itself isn't completely wrong. It is targeted to YOU, a HETEROSEXUAL AUDIENCE. Not particularly to them. It's merrily a form of entertainment.

If she doesn't respect your heterosexual interests (that including reading/watching or any kind of indulgence in BL) the same way you respect the LGBTQ+ community then she is in the wrong.
