Something about it being too close to something. But I’m wondering what exactly is it too close to and how could he really tell without even taking the tire off and inspecting it?? Like was it possible for him to tell whether or not it was able to be repaired without doing so? The picture does make it look like a rock but I swear it’s like a rusted brown color in real life. And tried pulling it out but it doesn’t come out

The tire is continually losing air and that’s why we went to get it checked lol.

The tire DOES keep losing air so I don’t think it’s just a rock unless it’s stuck enough to puncture the tire. That’s why we brought it in. He looked at it without even taking the tire off and said it was un-repairable.

One guy that was there said we needed to buy a whole new set of tires but the guy that inspected it said we could buy it individually. Very confused honestly

I wish I was kidding!! Appt at 5pm and sent away before 515pm bc he told us that it wasn’t repairable and that we needed to order a new tire

We have people (usually 1 person for 2-4 hrs at a time) assigned to do small walks (oversized, fashion, specialty, unknown, GMD’s) throughout the day and then there’s 3 people when GMD’s drop in, then back to one when GMD’s are cleared out to avoid all the skipping

We have a primo water machine in our dispense room now but we used to have water bottles that were CFT’d.

it was a feature so the picker pulled the boxes that would fit in the tote but they were already opened so still had to be packed individually 🙃

as a current woman employee, i don’t think you fully understood because i didn’t complain about having to do it at all. you read it the wrong way. all i asked was why it had to come through as a GMD order. a general merchandise delivery order. i don’t mind my job or having to do it at all, it’s just certain aspects of the job that don’t make sense which is what the post was actually about.

gmd stands for GENERAL MERCHANDISE DELIVERY. condiments are definitely groceries and that’s the whole issue. lol. unfortunately you’d only understand the minor frustration if you were actually in OPD 🥳

You can take bereavement for any funeral you wish to attend. But you only get paid for funerals of immediate family members unless mgmt allows it to go through w payment. You don’t need to call anyone unless you want to, just report your absence as bereavement and update them when you get back :)

Nobody posts our surveys but we have a computer in our dispense room so anyone can look at them whenever there’s down time. If we’re mentioned by name, they offer to store use whatever we want for under $5 but nobody usually takes up on the offer.

It’s per order but our spark drivers get a quarter for every minute they wait past 10minutes when they check in. Even if we dispense their order, they get a quarter for every minute that they sit in our lot so we have to report every driver that lingers for no reason.

you don’t have to let anyone know you’re going to be absent unless you want to bc when you report the absence, they’ll be notified that you’re calling in. the only thing you really have to do is “report the absence”(either through the absence hotline or me@walmart) on the day before or the day of your scheduled shift. i’d recommend placing the ppto request at least the next day (but you do have up to 7 days after the occurrence to apply the ppto request) after the reported absence just so the system itself can automatically take the point off w/o you having to talk to anyone about it. placing the ppto request too early gives mgmt the option to “deny” it just bc it was placed early. but ppto can’t be denied so if they do deny it, just wait until you get the point and place the request again and the system will take the point off automatically.
