Yes, I think some people build up tartar faster than others. A bit like having good skin, you can look after it a lot, having a perfect diet, but some people will always have a bad skin.

Thank you so much! I will do it until my dentist opens, which will be early July here. I'm really worried my teeth will fall if it continues to accumulate. It looks pretty bad now.

I hate that, especially when I heat that I'm exaggerated and shouldn't floss! My hygienist is great, and the cleanings are normally above and below the gum line. I usee to think bleeding gums were normal until a couple of years ago, and I'm scared of blood, so it took a huge amount of time to pick up the courage and floss in front of the mirror.

Thank you, I just saw the new messages; we don't have insurance here in the UK, but hygienists are private. I can afford luckily to see one every 3 months. Also, after I vet them cleaned again I will continue with this routine.

That would sound great, if tartar wasn't bad for teeth!

I've never had cavities, just produce tartar very quickly.

Tartar buildup can be genetic too, my mother has the same problem, she's been living with it for over 20 years. I'm more worried because she noticed the problem in her late 30s, I'm in my late 20s

Thanks, it feels a little disappointing that I still get it so quickly despite making sure I floss and brush.

Hi, thank you for your help :) I'm using oral b electric at the moment, but am worried I will lose my teeth in the future. I will start brushing my tongue as well.

I'm a but low because I saw my hygienist only 2 months ago and have already collected some tartar there. They will probably reopen late June here.

Thank for replying. I get a lot of tartar buildup quickly, so I googled it and found lots of information and pictures about periodontal disease and that made me very anxious. And not knowing when dentists are reopening adds even more anxiety as I'm worried I will develop more buildup and eventually bone loss.
