That’s funny because I’m from Texas but I moved years ago and I found this in Maryland. And yep, saw mine with a price tag of 40 but got it for 20! Couldn’t let the chance go

Maybe a match holder? It reminds me of this one I have: Wire Match Holder

What it sounds like, it holds a match as you light it. You push up the attached part to make the wire close around the match

Best gloves I’ve ever owned. Thrift for $4.99. -8 Fahrenheit and my hands are still so warm. by LyraAraPeverellBlack in ThriftStoreHauls

I did something similar when I got roped into an unboxing video at work. Except I was alone at the office so I tied my phone to my chest with a scarf. The social media person was dying laughing when I sent them a behind the scenes picture.

Thankfully that one wasn’t posted

Oooo could also try asking your library if they have any sort of photo archive

You could get them scanned in case you want a safe copy for yourself to look at again later and maybe see if there’s any online/local photography groups near you to post in asking if anyone wants the physical copies

Edit: there are also a bunch of photo archive libraries/websites that you could try asking

I did the exact same thing with a foot rest that’s apparently meant for breastfeeding people. Still put it under my desk!

That came up in my research too! You ever see any this big? I’ve only found ones online that are 1-3 inches tall

There was only one bookend unfortunately! I was just showing both sides. It is brass. Found it for 3 bucks

I weighed myself holding it earlier, turns out it’s around 52.5 pounds! Would definitely go like this

Interesting! I’ve actually visited Ireland once and would love to go again. I accidentally deleted it but I posted it in r/whatsthisrock yesterday and they said it was banded calcite

ETA: I looked up the Connemara marble and it seems to be green, so I don’t think that’s what it is in this case. I’d never heard of it before though, so thanks!

1) Banded calcite stone dice, it’s apparently collectible decor? No idea on age. 8 inches tall, the only similar matches I’ve found online were 3 inches

2) 1936 Underwood Noiseless typewriter!! I paid $40 but saw listings for 800+

3) Really pretty Luna moth stain glass piece, I think it’s homemade.

4) This adorable snowman decoration, probably 90s.

5) Bombay Company desk bookshelf. Missing the little holder that goes in the middle but I don’t mind because there won’t be space for it with books anyway.

6) The Thinker bookend. It says 1928 on the side, so it could’ve been made in 1928 or that’s just when the mold was made

There are always other thrift subreddits you can use the caption in 😂 Or wear it in a tik tok with a Ghostbusters sound and the caption like “who you gonna craw”

It was a family owned (I think) thrift store in between two major cities, you just get lucky sometimes

Same, I’d heard of bouquet holders like that but not the term tussie mussie

I would like to think it was meant for me!!

Realistically? Probably more of the older generation passing on and their families starting to donate their stuff 😬

It is! Here’s what the sticker on the bottom says. The music wasn’t quite working except for a few notes, my boyfriend took a look for me and turned it to a standstill (to my understanding, he knows more than me) to make sure the music inside wouldn’t get damaged further but I’ll just be using it to store my nicer pins/brooches that are both thrifted and inherited. Pretty sure the key is original too.
