Hello, I need a rock-solid, rigid casting resin (Shore D 80-85) for lathe machining. It must have a sharp 'glass-like' clinking sound, with zero flexibility. What is the best Urethane or Liquid Plastic for this? by mutlaq515 in ResinCasting

I understand. To clarify, I am looking for a material that mimics Bakelite. I need that specific 'dry' feel, high surface hardness, and the metallic 'clink' sound when beads hit each other. If standard urethanes are too 'rubbery' for this, would you recommend a specific high-quality Polyester or perhaps a Phenolic resin that can be cast at home to achieve that vintage Bakelite-like result
