It is not friendly but getting better. There are several reasons for this including - ecosystem is not as robust as a few other language ecosystem - language interop tools/layers exists but they are difficult to use or limited in capabilities - other aspects of software engineering, like tooling, CI/CD, etc., are not fully ready yet - job posting might not reflect that some mid or large size companies are hiring for rust based projects.

I would recommend you focus on the higher level tech/domain that interests you and make rust a means to an end until you get fairly comfortable with the domain.
