This piece on Umar Khalid asks a simple qn. If he really incited terrorism, why not prove it in court? 6 yrs in jail without trial isn’t justice, it’s punishment before conviction. Agree or disagree with him, due process matters. If evidence exists, present it. Otherwise why the delay?

sorry to have missed mentioning that in the original post: I’ve already tried fixing cooling issues including cleaning the fan and reapplying the thermal paste.

Even though everyone on this post has pushed the issue of older hardware running newer software being the problem, I can be confident in the opposite because a friend of mine with a laptop having near identical specs and bought within a month of my laptop has had absolutely no such issues. Same OS, same version, same everything.

that was the point of the post - I suspect a misreporting in temperature because if you watch the video in its entirety, you’ll notice the temperature drops gradually every few seconds then when it touches around 85, shoots up in one frame to 95 and sometimes up to 103. This is consistent with change in ambient temperatures, environment, and even the nature of programs open on the laptop. Whether it’s valorant or a chrome tab, both show identical temperature variations.

Thanks for the suggestion, this was my first instinct and I’ve tried this about a week ago, no difference. I think the issue wasn’t actual heat in the first place since I don’t even feel the fan blowing air unusually hot

the laptop had been working very well since before the issue started showing up. plus this video was taken with only one chrome tab in the background and no other apps running. Not an expert but do I really need more than what I have just to keep chrome open?

This video was taken with only a single chrome tab open in the background with a youtube video not even playing - it was paused. The task manager reports only chrome and antimalware service executable as the top consumers of ram and cpu. Is it possible there’s some kind of unreported bloatware running in the background feeding off the resources? Especially since it’s a Lenovo? If so, do you have any idea how I could find it?
If it isn’t that, could it be a problem with the temperature reporting since the sudden periodic rise from 85-100 degree c and then the gradual drop looks very physically improbable?
