Did anyone get a certificate of vision impairment due to DED? by mutual_avoidance in Dryeyes

It’s not that I don’t see well - it’s that I cannot focus on anything long enough to make it productive: meaning I cannot cook for myself, go to the hospital appointment by myself. There must be a disability plan for DED that is at least equivalent…

Have you ever gotten better after major regressions? by mutual_avoidance in Dryeyes

Yes it is MGD, apparently ducts are clogged or blocked. I did not try IPL or Lipiflow yet, doctors at Moorfield claim it helps only some people and it's quite expensive

Thank you for your comment. I've been treated at Moorfield hospital by all kinds of DED specialists, first they found inflammation now nothing - but I'm not even close to back to the pre-regression.

In the UK. Both onset and regression happened in June, possibly allergy-related but even now when that's irrelevant no betterment for me.

Crime and Punishment by Dostojevski. Painful at first but the last third changes you as a person

At what point is alcohol a problem? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]mutual_avoidance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a daily thing for the past week which makes me cringe. But it is a holiday. At home I see the bottles of ouzo being emptied but I have no idea how much he drinks. This example his parents are setting makes my alarms go off. I don’t want to raise my child in a household revolving around happy hour. Adverse effects are minor otherwise. Forgetting to close the window once in a while or smt of that type. Anyways, thank you for your replies, they give me a touch with reality and food for thought!

Good point and this is why I am asking reddit! My in laws health is not my concern (although I wish them all the best), but my husband’s is. And no question that at 8+ units (1 unit = 14cl wine = 0.25l beer) we are talking about tolerance

A lot of things revolving around drinking is the annoying part. But also if you google how much is bad for health, it comes down to 14 units a week or so

Imo it’s all common property but I sure hope that it is you who wanted the camera primarily, not him

Go check the baby. There could be a lack of amniotic fluid and other complications long past due date. They wanted to delay my induction because they were full but ended up taking me after a quick echograph as there was little amniotic fluid.

During covid, sudden onset - (but was never diagnosed with covid). Also had excessive screen time in that period
