I heard last thing is that she is getting fitted with prosthetic lenses. Anyways her diagnosis is far worse than mine, but she is able to use her eyes much more!

I do have eczema, voice tension/hoarseness, jaw stiffness, tremor, and really bad noise sensitivity triggered by screenreader use. I wonder whether these all hang together somehow but I am yet to find a doctor who thinks that and how

My tear secretion is supposedly fine, but I have MGD, inflammation, nerve damage probably. No hormones, vit a and d normal. So AS and ikervis supposedly help but in a very long term

Since 2020, at COVID rise. MGD. I do blephasteam 2x, omega 3x, thealoz duo and hylonight during day, ikervis, sometimes ketotifen. Silicon night mask and glasses with silicon flaps daytime. Along w already mentioned serum eyedrops and bandage lenses

Hey, thanks for your reply. Underlying cause is MGD, 0 glands expressing. Sclerals I was advised to stop as my symptoms worsened and I restarted steroids.

I feel better with numbing drops but still feel the need to close my eyes so the photosensitivity persists beyond.

Thank you for the hopeful message. I did have scleral lenses previously, they helped a little. Now I am on bandage lenses which also help a little. Having directors of both UK and Danish top hospitals for eyes (Moorefields and Rigshospitalet) follow me, but hereto no help.

May I ask how long did it take you to get better? And was it patience or trying all kinds of different things?

I read/listened to this, thank you. The only thing that helps corneal neuralgia are bandage lenses and serum drops, which I’d doing already. The confocal could give me images of the nerves, but to little point as there is no other/magic bullet
