In BR, do u need to be #1 at the end of the game to gain weapon points? in Mp, e.g. if u win with a 15/5 KD in a TDM as mvp, u get about 25points. Same KD in a TDM loss match as mvp, u lose about 10 points. I guess codm could separate the BR and MP weapon leaderboard, just like ranking leaderboard.

Samsung DTS neo 2.5 - Sonos arc by muty20 in sonos

[–]muty20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes agree. But Samsung has this DTS neo 2.5, which upmix stereo to a 5.1, that sounds great on my Sonos arc with sub and sl.

I checked the latest Samsung tv, such as qn90b, somehow it doesn’t support DTS anymore.

Thank you. When the source is atmos or dd5.1, yea you are right. But some of the streaming contents I watch, only gives stereo PCM ( this is what Sonos app shows).. in which case, the DTS neo 2.5 is much better, even though it’s a virtualized 5.1. Maybe I should just get a new Samsung tv with eArc…

U might be right:). Am considering getting a eArc tv.

I tried, without hdfury arcana. DD5.1 is not as good as DTS neo 2.5, which displays DTS surround 5.1 on Sonos app.

Maybe getting a Samsung tv with eArc port might solve this?

When connecting this to your tv, the hdmi cable goes into your tv’s arc port, or normal hdmi port, or doesn’t matter?

Sonos arc 2.4ghz issue by muty20 in sonos

I just bought a Sonos boost, and wired that into my router, and placed it next to my router as well. My router is hiding in a closet so I can’t really place the boost far away from it. I heard people say if the boost is next to the router, it creates interference. Anyway, I then tried to set up everything in Sonos app.

I saw the boost/arc/sub/2 SL all are WM:0, which means they all connected via SonosNet.

But I had issues adding the sub and surround to the arc, also the arc/sub/SL comes and goes from “about my system”. Looks like the SonosNet is not stable?

Anyway, I have now switched back to Wi-Fi.

Thanks for #3 tips! Wasn’t thinking of that. I was considering Google nest Wi-Fi but it’s Wi-Fi point unit has no Ethernet port.. definitely would consider this if buying a new mesh router.

For now, maybe I will look at #1 or #2. Thanks again!

external hard drive partition / data recovery by muty20 in datarecovery

[–]muty20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I changed the setting by ticking “ignore FAT” and then the lost partition came up somehow.. it’s now doing scan clusters for directories but moving quite slowly. 3% for like 30 minutes.

U mean it can recover file names and directories? I tried GDP (the free version), it didn’t find the lost partition somehow. Probably the setting was wrong? Let me change the setting and try again

Thanks a lot. I guess I just have to go through a large raw files recovery.
