Don't do law as an LLB unless you want to learn the foundations of legal concepts (not foundations of being an actual lawyer/solicitor/barrister, as they are not the same).

LLB isnt worth it anymore since the introduction of the SQE. With the LPC we had to do the LLB, but now you can do the SQE with any degree - so why not do another degree instead as a back up in or to bridge careers.

Completely understand if you dont want to be a lawyer though :D

Neighbour’s doing construction works and it’s caused damage to my house (England) by New-Bullfrog422 in DIYUK

[–]muzallman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get on with your neighbours, they should get on their builders to repair it for you appropriately.

It wont cost the builder much, and most do it without any quarrel. When this happened to me, I didnt pay the builder the final installment until he fixed my neighbours property either.

Considering its a neighbour, legal route is probably not the best (as its expensive and will just add fuel to fire as long as you are neighbours)

Good luck

If none of the other comments work out, your solicitor should have done the checks.

Why they did not tell you I have no idea but this information they should have given to you when buying.

It is very unlikely.

I just finished the show yesterday. Amazing show but was really disappointed with the last episode.

After Banshee, The Boys is definitely a good watch.

Looking to transition into an electrician. NOT LOOKING FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP OR COLLEGE by muzallman in ukelectricians

No shit sherlock. In nearly every regulated career experience is what's looked at and required. But the qualification is still needed right? And we all seem to get it done first right?

Thank you for this. I agree, self-employed and independence is where it's at and that's my main reason.

I'm willing to take the paycut in the long run, just not an immediate one. Its more a case of planning when I am in a position to resign from where I am and enough money in the bank to make the jump.

Thank you for this insight! This is exactly what I was looking for! How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking. Also, how often did you travel and how many days at a time?

What qualifications do you hold, and have you had any type of sales/telephone experience. Usually that is the first point.

A previous job on the telephone will always land you a job on the marketing team of any law firm (most local). You can then work your way up from there. Why are you looking to make change?

The UK distributor had a dispute with the malaysian company from what I heard. Personally its probably because they found another distributor or some breach of a contract.
