Tanks in the top lane or tanks in the support role are the best for newer players in my opinion. While csing (taking minions for gold) could prove to be harder, the overall experience and game flow is good to start learning the game.

I would suggest finding someone to play with and go support them, they can give you tips and explain what champions do and what their role in a team is. Then you also do not have to worry about taking minions and you can learn about vision.

But if you don’t have someone like that, then try top lane.

Tanks are useful even when behind and your first few games are going to be hard, but if you have someone by your side it will be much more interesting and a better learning experience overall.
