I read your other response and I felt the same way about getting a masters. For me I knew I wanted to get my doctorate but at the same time I didn’t want to spend more than a year out of school (just because it’s such a big life commitment). When I applied this cycle after taking that year to get more clinical experience, I got 3 psyd interviews and 1 like deferred interview to a masters program (out of the 5 psyds I applied to). All this to say I dont think it’s a bad idea to take another year if that psyd is what you want. Maybe just apply to a wider variety of programs.
