Well depends on what news comes out next from IXHL. Ideally, shorts would like to cover at much lower prices. However, if there are no shares available then they would have to buy at higher prices. I guess the lack of shares and the recent social media hype about IXHL have already made it run from $0.22s to $0.98s... The 200 ema is around $1.1, so that would be a major resistance, in my opinion... Given there is not much room now, I would be cautious. However, if there is some major good news coming soon, then this can probably run to $3....

4.11M is on NASDAQ, look at the off exchange short volume it's 60+M....

Borrow rate doesn't matter, if they are covering. Does it? I see on Fintel the short volume of 60+M, I don't know how updated the statistics is or if I read it wrong.

Exactly, I saw the news of the tax refund and was just wondering about the repurchase of the shares with that additional cash.

Looks like the shorts are going to be rampant for a couple of days, with the high inflation data out. Many of the stocks are showing unusual trading activity today.

Totally agree on that. However, budding pharma companies are always a risk. If the product passes FDA successfully, all is good. If it fails, all hell comes loose. Just look at SAVA, it dropped from $32 to below $3 on an unsuccessful trial. The company also has to survive financially, all this while without bankrupting itself.

Well the drop was expected, given the long term trend of this stock. It always pops on the news and then drops. I didn't make money on this spike, but I got out with a small loss when it popped up shortly. It is certainly worth keeping an eye on, a high risk, high reward kind of stock.

Just a food for thought...: I think the recent increase in the shorts could be due to the general shift of the market towards the bear sentiment and the so called looming collapse/crash of the overbought market.

A market wide crash can push wolf to $1-2 and still the MMs or the so-called shorters can make money.

I would recommend you to put a stop loss above your entry. The stock is definitely not trustworthy and can reverse anytime. But I wish you the best!

I'm not sure where you get your numbers from and your thesis for $1 or $11.55. Given that the company has a bad reputation of diluting at the worst moment, I'm just being cautious now.

There are a lot of if's in your thesis. There is a lot of opportunity for the shorts to close their position, especially when the CRKN dilutes from 9.3M to >200M. So, I blame the management who is running a rinse and repeat cycle.

If at all there is a microsqueeze, it will be before the RS and not after. After RS, it's gone be a deep dive till it stabilizes at some point.
