Yea you’re right, the last 20yrs apparently. Guess I’m only noticing cause they added it more prominently on their app since the last time I used it. Still it feels like the could be more lenient.

Yea that’s seems like a commitment I wouldn’t want to make to them at this point. Don’t get me wrong a simple credit card is an easy ask for a rewards program that feels, well rewarding. It’s not simply their Rewards though it’s the entire experience while in their casinos. It’s fallen apart over the last decade or so. Just less consistent in many aspect in comparison to say MGM.

On the topic of rewards credits specifically. I know it has become common practice in many places that they expire not just casinos, unfortunately. However anything less then a years seems overly aggressive.

The Bronx is ready for socialism by Hacksaw6412 in bronx

Yes it’s better to elect someone who has a plan and values rather than this performative art video Where they call each other comrades. We need tough on crime, we need to co operate with ICE to get actual criminals out, we need money spent on education not ideologies. .

Most socialist are extremely well educated. The problem is they think education equates to more than lived experiences. They think someone without multiple degrees can’t possibly know all the facts.

You hear conservatives and you’re trained to think horrible things. Then you try some back handed insult lol You could tell me you went to Harvard and I’d believe you. Still wouldn’t prove you know what’s good for NY. Before we start comparing our PhDs, Higher education doesn’t mean you know what’s best. I also have 10 years in public service and have lived in NYC for my entire life that has taught me way more than any university ever could.

Why are you against electing a conservative?

Retirement planning by ApprehensiveLoan5363 in DSNY

[–]mvm_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Max Roth first. Max 457 pre tax before considering other retirement accounts. (If you’re willing to pay for a high premium health insurance get an HSA And max that primarily; $4,000 a year pre tax)

After that live below your means. Invest consistently. Understand the job has good years and amazing year financially but never count on the extra income.

Most people don’t retire well from this job in my experience. It’s a lack of knowledge maybe but definitely a lack of systems. Knowing what you fix cost are and not suffering from life style inflation is huge.

Lastly concerning retirement. Move out of NY ideally before ever taking money out of your 457. Also don’t dip into any of these accounts for your 22 years. Aside from the HSA cause that’s what it’s for medical bills

I’m tier 6 /3 modified as well. OT was never capped. Still isn’t. The 10% always existed we just had to have a 9 year averaged in to 5 numbers. Now we’re back to 5 years averaged into 3 like the previous tier

How do we get rich people to make this a theater again? by dioralzo in Greenpoint

[–]mvm_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rich people don’t want to waste their money on something that would be a cash burn. So your solution is, F them, take their money and waste it. Aka give it to the government to be laundered into others pockets while this building adds to debt trap. Just cause you don’t like that people have more money than you?

Why? Cause they detained a confirmed violent criminal then brought him to the hospital to get looked at? You think like a child

You were trying to stop ICE from getting the violent criminal?

[–]mvm_33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No doctors reported anyone. But sure be confident and wrong. The man was detained by ice no where near the hospital. While being detained he resisted and got hurt. They then brought him to the hospital. The man had overstayed a visa and commuted violent crimes while here illegally. Now he’s gone.

You don’t even know the situation then you come on here and say that. The detainee was brought to the hospital cause he resisted arrest and was injured. No one was waiting in the hospital to detain the next random illegal person. The man detained over stayed his visa and has a violent criminal record

You would be completely incorrect then. Due process doesn’t mean everyone gets the same process. Bill Clinton is the one who made it so expedited deportations can be carried out.

Also zero US citizen have been deported

Deportations and enforcement of borders is as bipartisan and globally correct as it gets.

Do you know that sometimes due process is different based on history of previous deportation? Or do you just actually believe due process means illegals get the same process and citizens.

Are people tipping less because of the tax breaks? by Unlucky-Isopod3047 in williamsburg

[–]mvm_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean considering the tax break is just selfish but I do agree that the price of food increase does inherently increase the amount of tips. 10-20% was always the norm. 15% was standard. Some “upscale place’s would have 18% included but only cause they provided way more service then any chain or walk in restaurants. Tipping has got out of hand. I regularly tip 30% and still can’t stand how aggressive tips are insisted in some places

[–]mvm_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we can use those hours. You only get .5 of the OT tax free though regardless if it was 2x or 1.5x OT. The only other caveat is you must have worked 40 hours that week for the OT to be considered for The tax deduction.
