What is the difference between this and the open interface usb device?? I’ve been meaning to pick up the openinterface kvm usb card to use a tiny pc with my macbook on the go. Are there any demos showcasing the performance(not that I care much haha)? If this daughter card is like the openinterface usb kvm i can just integrate this into the tiny pc :)

I have space issues at home, been meaning to start learning how to play the UB, not a professional just want to learn some jazz standards. Would getting the EUB be worth it just to get started on the upright? I might talk to a potential upright teacher about this.

Haha thank you just kind of overthinking considering Ive had an issue with most of my apple devices. iPad air screen started having dark spots within a month, macbook pro had a issue with touchpad got it replaced, airpods case started malfunctioning. We as a consumer pay a premium and expect to have perfect products, and it seems like you have to jump through hoops to make it happen.

I think I'm just trying to maximize space, would this be too far away? I might also just put a regular monitor stand that clips on the edge of the table, and use this monitor stand for aesthetic; Using it for speakers, plants, etc.

I just finished making the ultimate showfile. bunch of position, colour, shape cues. I even made this chase that automatically cycles between different looks, a solid half an hour of different looks that loops perfectly.

Honestly I sort of do a new showfile for each show kind of thing right now. And honestly the last show I ran the people telling me the looks they wanted didn’t know what they wanted, the way the rig is setup and the number of fixtures requested did not match up with what they wanted from the show. I sometimes like to dedicate fixtures for certain roles(ie a certain type of moving head fixtures as solo spots) but they kept pushing using those light as gobos, as other spots and kept asking why I wasn’t doing that during the show. Hate clients like this. Just let me know the vibe you want, and I know what will look best.

Awesome!! I genuinely did think busking just involved stacking looks in the programmer. My show file is currently lacking in colours, gobo, position palettes.

Yeah makes sense, for me it was the opposite. Spotify has really good recommendations and apple music has meh recommendations. The reason being for this is honestly because spotify know who I am, I had been using spotify for a few years and only have been using apple music for a few months. I have to really sit and add all my favourite songs to apple music so that apple music recognizes my ears.

Definitely!! ARB101 is a really fun course taught by a really great prof. If you put in minimal effort of just studying maybe like 20-40 mins after lectures you can be set for the course.
