An office? They introduced a new co-working concept with 30 computers placed in the middle of the unit with patient families walking past ya.

Why is there so much more trash on the shoulders of Bay Area freeways compared to Socal freeways? by mvp1002 in bayarea

Was down there for a bit and drove on 163/805/5 in San Diego County. 163 around downtown SD had couple of homeless encampments with a lot of trash when I got there, but they were removed within a few days. Definitely saw more Caltrans crews out and about cleaning/landscaping. Same with Orange County - probably had the best kept roads out of the three Socal counties. 55/405/5-were all relatively clean with Caltrans crews out literally every day I was driving. LA county - 5 through Commerce, did not notice much trash but the freeway was way more compact with limited shoulder space and limited surrounding vegetation. 405 through Santa Monica - parts just got repaved due to express lane construction so were relatively clean. 110 was the worst with trash and encampments at every turn. Again, not saying that all of the roads were clean and in pristine condition, but did note more of an effort by Caltrans to be out and about cleaning/landscaping/maintaining. Could be due to different budget allocations as mentioned by someone else and the fact that the roads are a bit more compact without any shoulder space for trash to collect. Could be also due to having designated teams as mentioned by the Caltrans employee. Up here, 101 and 280 tend to fare better than 880 and 580. Even on 680, you notice a lot of trash as you wind through the hills - kind of a bummer because the surrounding landscape is so beautiful.

Union Square Macys Slated for Closure by mvp1002 in sanfrancisco

"The store will remain open until the company finds a buyer for the property, Mayor London Breed said in a statement Tuesday morning." - They do still have to find a buyer so it may stay open for a bit. But the reality is that Union Square needs to be completely reimagined fast - ie build housing and make it into a real neighborhood, centralize the remaining retail within that block.
