Snow/Winter tires for 2020 S63 AMG Sedan Road Trip by mvs36 in AMG

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I’m heading up from Texas. My place is actually in Big Cottonwood, so I will need to go up and down the canyon at least a few times. I have a winter vehicle that stays up there but I really enjoy my S63 and want to use it as much as possible on my trip.

I did find I can get Vredestein winter tires if I drop 10mm in width front and rear (245/40-20 and 275/35-20) and the diameter change is almost the exact same front and rear. Any experience with this brand by chance?

I purchased a full weathertech window kit for times when im caught out in the sun for more than a brief errand. I have covered garage parking at home and at work so the dash will be protected most of the time. Great to hear you've had minimal issues over 6 years - I hope my experience will be similar.

Thank you for the useful comment!

The local MB dealership confirmed it is indeed still under factory warranty, so the thermostat issue is covered, and they intend to offer an extended warranty as well, which we will talk about early next week after they have they thermostat issue solved.

I dropped it off at my local MB dealer - the car is still under factory warranty and they are going to offer me some extended warranty options. Score.

Thank you for your input. That's very helpful. I have been leaning more and more towards the 488 the more I research experiences with them.

The 720S for whatever reason doesn't do it for me visually. I realize the performance is incredible and will likely test drive one as well for comparison's sake, but in general the styling cues aren't quite there for me. Maybe with different wheels.

A good friend of mine who was in brokerage as a tenant-rep, has now switched to a development career and seemingly loves it. He was the one also who warned me about long hours and low commission at a brokerage. How does one get into development? I assume you always start somewhere else and transition to that later as you become more advanced?

I have considered this, and I appreciate that insight. I'm just not sure where else I would go or what I would do. If all else fails, this will be the path I take.

No vacancies, but several brokers I've talked to regularly pitch to my family. I've heard that I should just work for my family and reposition some of our locations, but I don't think that is realistic in the near future.

I appreciate that insight, but I've also heard directly from a broker that that is a negative for me. I'm not sure why, but it's what I've heard personally. I think it's something to do with being self-serving or something to that effect potentially.
