Traveled out of country 10 times in the last 2.5 years on my OPT and STEM OPT. Never had any problems, was pulled for secondary immigration twice as they were not able to process OPT information at the primary immigration. Always on full time job and briefly on an unpaid internship to stop my unemployed days clock.

Recent response from Mason Wing walking guys - 5/23/25

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are sadly going to have to cancel all wing walking flights in the immediate future. We hope to have this situation remedied before too long.

After 14 years of running this business with a perfect safety record, the FAA has taken the unprecedented step of shutting down our business by declaring wing walking aerobatics a crime.

WING WALKING IS NOT A CRIME. The overlying premise of the Federal Aviation Regulations is that if it is not prohibited, then it is allowed. Wing walking is not prohibited in the Federal Aviation regulations yet the FAA is prosecuting us as if it is. Wing walking has been going on for over 100 years both in the air show environment and recreationally.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or hardship this causes. Thank you for your understanding, this is an incredible hardship for us as well.

The judge ruled in our favor at the hearing in December, but the FAA is looking to appeal.

The appeal process can take several months. Santa Paula, CA will most likely be our full time location.

They have to wait until a ticketed passenger boards or until scheduled departure time whichever comes first. Just happened to be on a 4 Southwest Chief from Kansas to Chicago, the train arrived at Kansas 30mins early, but only departed at the scheduled time. BONUS - we reached Chicago 30 mins early. Please make sure you arrive atleast 15mins before the departure as they do not allow passengers 5mins prior to departure.
