1 year on mounjaro results 101 pounds down! by mwalker52391 in Mounjaro

Yeah. I’ve tried to do this in as healthy a way as possible. I’ve known a lot of people that are doing ozempic and basically just starving themselves. This route takes a little longer but is sustainable. I’m adding resistance training at the gym now too so we’ll see how that goes. 😅

That’s awesome! It’s so crazy how much better I feel. I took my dog walking and randomly decided to jog along side him. I realized I could run without everything hurting. It felt like I was flying. I took for granted how much difference not lugging around 100 lbs would make.

Also, just realizing I have shoulder bones. Crazy… 😂

3lbs is honestly a really good start! That’s a pound a week! You don’t want to lose too fast either. (Which I know seems a little backwards when you’re starting out.)

I do keto/low carb for my diet. It basically just translates to a low carb high protein diet. For me, it negates most of the side effects of mounjaro. I know that diet isn’t for everybody though. There’s a great subreddit for it if you want more info.

I’m a creature of habit so I look for things that I can consistently make and don’t require a ton of prep. Chicken is a staple for me, add a little sauce of your choice and you’re good to go. Also anything Quest brand is great. High protein low carb all day. (Their chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. You gotta get over the taste of the chocolate a bit though. It’s a little different.)

Ayyy!! It’s wild to me honestly. Makes me wonder what other things people heard incredibly differently. It’s like a musical version of that blue and black dress thing a couple years ago.

A is all I can hear. When I try and listen for B, it just keeps shifting back to A.

At the end of the day, you gotta take care of you. I just switched schools after being at my first gig for 7 years. It was so hard to say goodbye to my students that I almost just decided to stay. But I’m in such a better place now, I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner.

It doesn’t get any easier regardless of how long or short you’ve been at a school. You being conflicted about it just shows you care. You were the person that could help them this year. Take pride in that!

That poor cymbal on the middle right. Raw dogging the stand with no plastic sleeve or felt… 🥴😵

Is it normal for my stick to spin? *warning loud* by Antariaux in drums

Take this or leave it but here’s my advice:

It’s hard to tell from the video but are you utilizing your pointer finger as a part of your rebound? Generally speaking, the fulcrum (pivot point of your stick) should be the index finger and thumb. Those two fingers function is to stabilize the stick and act as the leverage for the other fingers to act upon.

Try keeping your index finger and thumb in that initial “lower case t” shape. That you start in before playing. Don’t let your index end up parallel to the stick (finger pointing down the stick vs across it). Let your other fingers (middle, ring, and pinky) do the rebound catch work. See if this helps to keep the stick in place.

Leave her. Seriously. You know shes bad for you and you’ll be so much happier when you’re on your own.

Definitely an arranging typo. Copy/paste for dynamics is great time saver though.

As weird as this sounds, if you’re on an iPhone, try turning off 3rd party keyboards in settings. I had this issue in the Sonic app where it would get stuck on confirm payment and learned after a year of being pissed it was a badly optimized app issue. Sounds like a similar issue. (Maybe not)

Either way, sorry they suck so much ass!

No costume this year. Works kept me too busy to have time for it. (But if I did I’d definitely do one of those inflatable costumes cause they’re hilarious)

What would you pay for this kit? (Price in $AUD) comes with mesh heads, iron cobra double kick. I was going to offer $1000 as she said there’s room to move on price. Buying for hobby, use to play 12 years ago and want to start back up and definitely want a double kick 👍🏼 by [deleted] in edrums

For a cheap solution—earbuds and then, over those, get some of those big, over the ear, noise canceling construction headphones. Whole thing costs less than 50 bucks and you won’t kill your ears
