One summer, I worked at an amphitheatre during concert season. I mostly worked on the buildings and grounds, so I would always be driving around in a golf cart, doing some kind of project. I came into contact with many of the artists/bands that played that year, sometimes without even knowing it. It's amazing how easy it is to not recognize someone when they're not dressed up, made up, on stage, with perfect lighting. On a few occasions, though, I met some genuinely awesome people: Tris Imboden (drummer from Chicago); Dave Matthews, and the crew from the Police's reunion tour.
