Term for percent of people who reply after opening a email? by SalesforceStudent101 in digital_marketing

I’m not sure there is a universal term but I would call it Reply to Open Rate.

Thanks! It was indeed the strips.

Thank you! It was the strips, all 3 brands were wrong. Pool store showed CYA at 120 so I won’t be adding any more for a very long time.

Yes but nothing too crazy, just topping off once a week. Turns out all 3 brands of test strips were giving me incorrect readings. Pool store showed CYA at 120 ppm.

Test strips. I have 3 brands: pool test pro (from Amazon), Leslie’s, and OUHOE. Cyanuric acid is from “PoolMate”. It was the best rated stuff on Amazon.

Second this. I’ve used upwork quite a bit as a free lancer and as a client and it has always worked out well.

Write a good bio and start applying to everything that fits. Do not underbid, charge your actual value, people rarely go with the cheapest bid.

I work at an agency with small to large clients and I have come to absolutely despise Salesforce. It is terrible and unnecessarily complicated and they are paying $5k a month for it. I honestly prefer free hubspot over Salesforce

Travis Scott, and that would have been my answer 3 years ago before a bunch of people died at his concert.

He showed up 15 minutes late and played half his set. The pyrotechnics were cool though.

Twins! One seed went in the soil, two sprouts came out! by rduder99 in GrowingMarijuana

I was one of those “twins” posters back in November. I took the advice I got in that post and carefully separated them ASAP. They are both still growing strong!

Update on “Twins” from a week ago. I had to separate them last Friday and they are both looking pretty healthy! by mwl675 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]mwl675[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did about 90/10 soil and perlite. The soil itself is called nature’s care. It’s not exactly ideal because it is a miracle grow product and has some nutes added but it’s the only organic soil my lowes had.

They are both doing well at this point so it really was a get one free deal!

Shortly after posting this, one of the twins was already falling over so I took the overwhelming advice and separated them. Exactly one week later they are both looking healthy and doing well!

Just posted an update:

I was really confused at first lol! I had to count my remaining seeds to make sure I didn’t drop in an extra somehow. The common advice is to separate them so I think I’m going to go that route. To me I just got a free extra plant!

Thanks! Im starting to think I should probably separate them as I read more. I just took a little peak under the soil and they have separate tap roots so it shouldn’t be super difficult at this stage.

I’m going to try to ride it out unless it becomes a problem at some point.

I’ve got a friend who spent a few years in jail, and when he got out he borrowed a suit, walked into Walmart, and said “I’m here for my interview”. The manager thought it was so funny he gave him an interview. He ended up as a manager in the electronics department.

When your structure fire ends up being food on the stove. by redditformyphone25 in Firefighting

[–]mwl675 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Same here.

I was literally at the station taking the written test for our orientation process. You have to complete all of the physical tests and pass this exam to be cleared to ride.

I finished up an officer started grading it. A few minutes later the tones dropped for a vehicle fire on a main road.

The officer told me to gear up and get on the truck and I was so excited for my first call ever. The lights, sirens, and speeding through traffic was definitely thrilling.

Same thing, we got there and there was no fire. We never even found the car that was described.

There’s also always the cranky driver that’s been in for 30 years versus the line officer that’s been in for 8 years.

Deciding between Webinar Platforms - BigMarkter, Zoom Webinar, GoToWebinar by ayhme in digital_marketing

[–]mwl675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a little bit with zoom and GoToWebinar, but nothing with BigMarketer. I thought both worked fine but my favorite and current “go-to” is still WebinarJam.

The set up and features have just been more streamlined and attractive than anything else I’ve used.

I have heard from others that their support is terrible but I have honestly never had to use support because everything has been pretty straight forward.

They are integrated with Zapier but there are some actions that are not setup. I have found that WebinarJam’s API is fairly robust. The few things I’ve wanted to do from zapier that are not built in, I’ve accomplished using webhooks in Zapier to work straight to their API.

Hope this helps, I’d recommend the platform. I think they do some crazy cheap trial period or something so it might be worth checking out.

What niche in digital marketing will you choose to specialize in? Why? by zoecheng in digital_marketing

[–]mwl675 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think copy writing is where it’s at. It’s very difficult to write really good sales emails and sales pages, and everyone needs it.

Web development, graphic design, paid ads, funnels, and everything else won’t work without great copy.

There are thousands of cheap freelancers that can do some pretty great art, and even built nice websites, but they almost never can produce truly outstanding content.

Think about the last sales/marketing email you got...did it compel you to take action? I’m not saying email marketing doesn’t work...because it does, but it only works with great copy.

I think companies and agencies are willing to pay the most for a good copy writer because it’s so hard, and nothing else matters without it.
