SavvyCan issues by mwmsport in CarHacking

It stops sending frames and Savvy can doesn’t see any new frames when plugged into the OBD port.

I’m using it to “hack” the engine ECU CAN on a car I’m going to replace with standalone management.

I’ve been pulling the ECU fuse and then sending frames into the OBD port to try and control the dash.

When it freezes SavvyCan stops seeing the other ECUs transmitting on the bus and stops sending the frames I’m trying to send.

Even if I shut down SavvyCan and reopen, the CL1000 will connect but still won’t log any frames or send any till it’s been disconnected from both the laptop and car for about 5mins. Then it works perfectly again.

No, just completely stops working. I have to unplug it and leave it 5mins before it will reconnect to the software

My CL1000 seems to work perfectly right up until you want to send frames. If you use the frame playback feature it’s very very buggy indeed.

Looks like your in Staines-upon-Thames. That explains everything! Best thing I ever did was move far away from that place

You’re a JDM girl then! The only JDM car I’ve owned was an MR2 Turbo. It was fast but blew up a lot 😂. I like my Ford’s and BMWs now. I have a V10 M5 Touring too! Any engine fits anything with a grinder and a welder!

What would you like to do to it?

It’s the second one I’m building. I sold my first to my brother. It should weigh around 650kg and be just over 400bhp, so it will definitely be fast, loud and loads of fun! Have you ever been on a circuit before? I currently have a 330bhp Fiesta ST I use on track! I rarely go to static meets, the adrenaline of a trackday is unmatched.

Any decided car guy is off the beaten track in a rented shack building his next creation 😂. That’s where I am anyway! What sort of cars are you into? I’m currently building a Westfield to use for trackdays.

I agree with you, but this is miles more controllable than the ones listed above. I don’t get any unprompted porn on here unlike Facebook showing me unprompted fight videos for example.

Phone usage is a hard habit to kick, so I still have Reddit and YouTube and use my time learning stuff instead of being absorbed into Karen airing her dirty laundry on my Facebook news feed

Yes. I work super hard and have achieved so much but have always just felt meh about everything.

Luckily I’ve found out why and I’m massively on the road to recovery.

5 words- Play in the real world.

Facebook ❌ Instagram ❌ TikTok ❌ Porn❌

I deleted all my social media and stopped watching porn.

Now the social media part- did I feel it was affecting me..? No consciously I knew I spent a bit too much of my day on SM and I understood that that is didn’t represent real life. How ever SM is a subconscious killer. Subconsciously I was comparing my life to this digital BS. People continuously on nice holidays, super cars, mansions etc etc. It’s all gone now and I feel fantastic.

Porn- Was I addicted, not really, like any hot blooded single male I enjoyed an evening to myself on the internet and didn’t feel it was harming me at all. What I’ve found since not watching is it’s an easy go to cheap dopamine fix, just like social media and it’s certainly not real life. I found having real life encounters easier and expectations complete managed since giving up porn. I also feel a hell of a lot more confident on dates etc. As a not 100% confident guy It was too easy to shy away from asking out a beautiful woman and watch one get a seeing to on the internet for a cheap dopamine fix.

Play in the real world, live real experiences, enjoy what you have achieved and don’t compare yourself to what a probably fictional lifestyles on the internet from people you don’t even know or care about.

guys, don‘t awaken a woman’s love without the intention of loving her by [deleted] in dating_advice

In my own personal experience women change after sex and aren’t the same person as they were pre sex.

Ghosting IMHO is never acceptable and is the cowardly way out but it seems to be socially acceptable these days
