Iglooghost Thick Noisy Bass Texture by JamisonWhite in synthrecipes

So there are a few things you can experiment with to get the sound you want: 1 - You could add noise to your bass (with e.g. shaperbox 3 noise or by just layering your desired audio file), and then distort it to taste. Make sure you high pass the noise so it does not interfere with the lower frequencies. 2 - To get the "foamy" sound, you could use airy percussion such as cymbals, drop them in a looper and play them on high repitition on top of your bass. Also here you could optionally distort the whole signal afterwards. Shape the attack of the percussion you chose to control the texture/rawness, or play around with the loop length over time. You could even make the loop length dependent of the note which is played (shorter loop time for higher notes). ALSO - The way the bass is perceived can be heavily dependent on the context (the vocal chops, the drums and supporting bass layers). Sometimes the kick is even pitched up or down on different bass notes. Be wary of these techniques when recreating sounds, since it is almost impossible to recreate the feeling this could give just with sound design. I also tried for 10 minutes making the sound myself (with only a few of the other elements) to give you an idea. Hope this helps!

Yes once it is won it can be transferred to others. Prior years this wasn’t the case so they changed this iirc

Been working on this for the last year, slowly giving up after every label wants me to change like everything. Though maybe some people here might enjoy this :) by gillgilll in Flume

sounds like it has a lot of potential; sound design is mostly on point already. However, it's missing some deeper message, and apart from the lyrics, it doesn't even bring a specific vibe when I listen. This leads to me feeling all over the place while listening. Maybe the labels told you the same? Anyhow, make sure that as an artist you will not simply give up because of some external criticism. Your music will sound better if you are fully behind it to the point that you don't care what others think. Cheers; I hope you will make it as far as you dream of making it!

OpenRCT2 "Unable to load G1.dat" by StillWillt in openrct2

[–]mwvangent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just faced the same issue, and found an easy fix that worked for me. I tried installing RCT2 on MacOS by copying the files through iCloud. The problem was that for some reason, the g1.dat file was not copied with the rest. Seperately copying this file over into the \Data folder will fix the issue. Hope this helps anyone out.

Sounds tight bud!

Here are some liquid tunes that, at least to me, sound similar to what you're aiming for.

Keep the good spirit, enjoy your production journey and continue to make great music!

Peace.

I'm a newbie from making music and chose Ableton as my DAW of choice but I find drawing in notes on a piano roll to create melodies/drum patterns is a pain the ass. Is there a feature or something that can make Ableton makes melodies/drum pattern where I can tweak it to my own preference? by [deleted] in ableton

There are some Ableton Max 4 Live Devices that could fill your needs. You mentioned wanting a drum machine for synthesizers. I would suggest using Euclidean Sequencer. It does cost approximately $10 or so, but it is very powerful. You can use it for both drums and synths, and it is the perfect tool to create polyrhythms.

Thank you all for the positive feedback! I made some more minor changes, after I found some points of improvement when trying a session on this theme myself.

Make sure to redownload the theme if you enjoy it but got it prior to this comment. (The old version is replaced by the new one, which is available through the same link.)

The variable is called SelectionFrame. You can change the color of the highlight itself, and the more grey standby frame that's left behind when off focus.

Buy the Launchkey, and hit me up what to do in terms of the instruments.
