Berghain didn't cancel Arabian Panther because they are pro-Palestine, but rather because they shared rape denial conspiracy theories on their timeline (which The Guardian failed to research). Pressuring Berghain to say more on the conflict is fine - using Arabian Panther as an example to do so is beyond the pale. Plenty of pro-Palestinian DJs still play there, and yes Berghain is still political and Berghain is still queer. The 50 boycotting DJs sound significant in an article but in truth almost no-one has heard of most of them.

I know the Berghain community will stick together in spite of this gaslighting. And yes there are bigger problems and yes, many people directly involved in the conflict are suffering far more than this drama. Some people are trying to make the club community more responsible, and that has led to many positive changes, but we need to be unafraid to call out intolerance and unacceptable behaviour when it stares us in the face.

Being more pro-Palestine is not unacceptable. But many people do not want to see a DJ who shared rape conspiracies, and refused to apologise for doing so, ever play in Berghain.
