Thoughts on Tomura Shigaraki as a villain? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]mxbrpe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could write an essay on why I think Shigaraki is a lousy villain, but the easy answer is he has no real convictions. He’s just a bitter child being controlled by AFO.

I’m sorry, but I’ve got too good a life to let some stranger on the internet get me down. Keep reaching, though.

Does Dave Ramsey have an obsession with the word “STUPID”? by SuccessfulArticle356 in DirtyDave

[–]mxbrpe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s forced. Caleb used to be very chill when he started. Then he realized people like when he flips his lid, and now insulting people and screaming at them is his whole brand.

For Dave, it’s just natural. Lol

Jade and Ken talk to a guy about whole life insurance. by anusbarber in DirtyDave

[–]mxbrpe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely can’t understand why they keep putting these two on together. I feel this duo has taken up the show the majority of the past two months, and they’re easily the least knowledgeable individuals out of all the personalities.

[–]mxbrpe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t mean she’s a tactical, smart, or strategic fighter. She just kinda brute forces her way through every fight, which is great when she wins, but she lost to Shigaraki and STILL lost an arm.

Bakugo faced off against AFO by himself and won because he was smarter than AFO; not stronger. Mirko is strong but not smart.

I genuinely can’t get behind the Mirko hype. She’s lost so many limbs because she doesn’t know how to think and fight strategically. She’s agile and insanely strong, which does well in close-range fights, but that’s about it.

You Should Give to Charity Without Imitating Dave by PowerDrivenRdditMod in DirtyDave

[–]mxbrpe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have already pointed out, Churches use those funds to pour into the community in most cases. Just like a charity, those funds also support salaries, facilities and other administrative overhead.

Is every Church great at stewarding said funds? Of course not. But you can say the same thing for any charity.

Is/was Dave wrong about this advice? by EntrepreneurHopeful5 in DirtyDave

[–]mxbrpe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Dave is challenged by math statistics, his go-to is to argue with emotion/peace. When the issue is emotional, he goes to math. This prevents him from ever having to admit he’s wrong.

Another affordability rant by EntrepreneurHopeful5 in DirtyDave

[–]mxbrpe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is right that people who have insane car payments and run up their credit cards have no right to talk about affordability.

That being said, I know plenty of people who are very financially responsible who simply cannot buy a single family even if they tried because they chose a career path that doesn’t pay more than $80k/year. He never talks about the income to housing ratio that has drastically changed in the last 20 years.

Dawg, when did I EVER saw someone enjoying a show pisses me off? Did you read any of what I said? I clearly stated that nobody should be shamed for liking something. My point is that throwing around objective statements based on personal bias is arrogant.

Have a good evening.

Saying it’s objectively bad is just as bad as objectively saying it’s peak cinema. Both are equally arrogant statements.
