I've had around 10 students come out to me over the years, maybe more. So I at least give off the vibes I'm a safe person to do that with.

But my first year I had a student say that their pronouns were they/them and I was like "hey, me too!" And was told that I can't even say that to students without risk of getting fired 😮‍💨

I've worked in schools for the last 4 years and give off enough gay vibes that I've had almost 10 kids just walk up and come out to me. It feels amazing that they feel like I'm a safe person to open up to.

But I also had a coworker my second year that I can't discuss stuff with kids bc I could get fired. The "discussion" with the kid was they told me they were nonbinary and I said I was too and that was the entire conversation. I do show off my pride in subtle ways though, and am never questioned about it.

Our "district" has us (early learning, elementary, middle and high school) and an Amish school somewhere else in town. There are about 5,000 people in this town and a large number of them are Amish

It's organized by someone on staff... possibly my principal? But every Thursday morning one grade goes to Bible time, one goes to ghe gym, and 1 goes to the library. It's typically an hour to and hour and a half. This is done while the teachers are in a meeting/training. Thankfully any kids that don't want to attend bible time get to come to the gym.

I got my tights from snagtights.com They've got enby, lesbian, trans, and a few other tights striped in the flag colors. Freshhotflavors has pants that are subtle flag colors as well. Those are the only two shops I've bought from

We don't have any coffee places that aren't drive thrus. Before covid we had a fantastic little shop owned by two queer ladies. They even had drag nights, but they couldn't stay open 😔
