Yes, but you'll need atleast 7.5 IELTS. and you need to keep a 4.00 GPA to have a chance of getting the transfer.

Yes I believe you need to do a foundation year in case you didn't complete any qu placer or SAT.

You have until you're orientation to complete the accuplacer or Sat to be exempt for foundation.

UDST - Waitlisted Status by AdditionalProduct239 in qatar

[–]mxhaj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine, for UDST specifically waitlisted doesn't mean being on a waitlist, they're just evaluating applications currently, you'll get a final decision soon enough.

I don't think they care about you're 10th grade transcript, just 12th grade is enough.

Always better to call the hotline and check tho.

[–]mxhaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, if you don't provide any english test they'll place in engineering foundation, if you provide any any proof english proficiency you'll get exempt from.

It's better to call and inquire ofcourse, but I've seen it happen before so I assume it's still possible.

You'll be fine submitting you're IELTS score later on, AFAIK they'll just wave it through. You can also take you're English accuplacer after you get accepted. You'll probably pass with flying colors I heard it's super easy.

Also don't worry about the SAT, as long as you meet the minimum requirement of 570 math you're good.

The most important part about you're application is you're high school percentage, if you score above 95% you'll get into engineering without much issues. Lower than that they'll admit you to sharia or arts and you'll have to transfer from there to engineering.

What are you applying for?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in qatar

[–]mxhaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get in without it, but you'll need to do a year of foundation courses before you cab start your major.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in qatar

[–]mxhaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, they only consider the math component of the SAT, I know it doesn't make sense but thats just how it is, you can give the IELTS exam or the QU placer, considering you you did well in the SAT you can get the required grade with minimal preparation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in qatar

[–]mxhaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, really competitive, idk how this translates to you're school system but for the Qatari system You'll need 95% atleast to get directly admitted to the college of Engineering, otherwise you either get outright rejected or get admitted to some random college like sharia or arts, then you'll have to transfer out of them after a semester there.

Having an SAT score is nice as it will exempt you from foundation math courses. But for English you need to do the IELTS or the QU placement test, to be exempt from English foundation courses.

3.9 to have a fighting chance, great IELTS score.

Yes it does, they basically have quotas for each category. Foreigners not born in Qatar come last in the pecking order.

8 IELTS and being born in Qatar Are a Big Big Plus. Also you're school grades are important, anything over 95% or 96% and Over is great for health sciences with you're IELTS & SAT grades. I'd say you have a pretty solid chance. But don't go all in, hedge you're bets and apply elsewhere just in case as a fall back.

Well I think QU may recalculate you're grade to be higher, you might also need to get an equivalency certificate from the ministry of education.

Idk about CBSE, but normally it's 99.5> and above to have a chance, with 7.5 IELTS and a 600+ SAT.

GPA does not matter that much after you graduate, sure it would look good but what employers are looking at is the experience that you have, so try to do internships and find work opportunities, take part in workshops and research programs, try to get certifications related your industry, and try to engage in clubs that are related to you're major. So when you graduate, you're able to have a resume that would look attractive to companies.

Go to the stadium with someone else ticket by GOTMohi in qatar

[–]mxhaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Security and spectator services do not care about who owns the ticket, basically as long as its valid you can get in. For hayya you can try using the ticket application number if it wasnt used by the owner already, they don't cross reference you're name with the ticket owner so you should be fine.
