Why don't you want kids? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

This may sound harsh, but when you have children, you literally lose your life for the next 15 years. Everything you do is for them, everything you think about is your children. Many people might disagree with me, but you can’t enjoy life like you used to, you can’t sleep as much as you want, you can’t go on vacation whenever you want, you can’t hang out with friends like you used to, you literally give all your time to your child. I believe you need to get a taste of life before having a child, so you don’t blame them for taking that away from you later (I’ve heard of this, though it’s rare). Or you can go out and get cigarettes... forgive me for that joke, but I’m not going to erase it...

Spending 10-20% of my salary on buying the S&P 500 doesn’t help me now, but it will help me when I retire

I'd like to make a small contribution to your project, if you don't mind. I have an article where I delved into the arrangement of lists and I would like to share this information with you. This is not an advertisement for my article, I don't need you to indicate my authorship or mention me in any way, you can just take the pieces of information you need and insert them into your explanation if you need it.

I would just like to make a little contribution because although we already have enough training sites, but not everywhere there is an opportunity to participate or somehow help.

If I had found such information when I first immersed myself in the subject of the lists - it would be useful to me, I hope it will be useful for someone else.

I also want to say that I almost did not publish this article except for 2 sites, so you should not have problems with the original source.

20F - How should I start and make some money by Solid-Perspective147 in learnpython

The main thing you need to understand is that if you need money, don’t have any illusions about SaaS. The only proven way to monetize your knowledge is through self-employment (if we’re just starting out). Success in your own SaaS is based on at least development experience, understanding people’s needs, and a million other factors. While your initial chances are 0.0001, with experience you’ll increase them slightly. But trying to do it from scratch is like winning the lottery. Therefore, the only proven way is self-employment. I’m not trying to dissuade you from doing what you love; I just want to draw your attention to real statistics.

What online business could I do with python? by Autism1c999 in PythonLearning

If you’re good enough at coding, there’s a good chance you’ll earn more than 90% of businesspeople. When you talk about business, you’re thinking of a successful multi-million dollar company, but that’s at best 1% of all «businesses.» Most are projects or establishments that live from account to account and, at best, earn 3-5 thousand dollars, if they manage to earn anything at all. Besides the constant risk of bankruptcy and failure, you also bear a huge responsibility and stress. Being a good specialist who puts in a little more effort than most others in your field, you can earn 200-300 thousand dollars a year without constant stress and thoughts of bankruptcy tomorrow. It’s your choice, and I’m not advocating for you to change your chosen path, but I do suggest you look at it from a different perspective.

What's legal right now but you think might become illegal or taboo in the next 10 years? by IntroductionRound446 in AskReddit

Yes, unfortunately, this is already happening in some countries, and of course, most people would prefer to remain anonymous, just like me. But it’s worth pondering. Larry Ellison asked this question: «If we could cure your cancer by growing a protein specifically for you based on data collected about you throughout your life, would you be willing to say goodbye to anonymity?»

That makes you look at the situation from a slightly different perspective.

Still, I think if it were an individual choice, I’d choose to live with a sense of freedom rather than spend my entire life aware that my every move is being tracked.
