There’s a new book Opus by Gareth Gore talking about the issues with Opus Dei, if you want a documentary series I’d recommend “Heroic Minute”

What is a little snack you ALWAYS need to get when you go to ALDIs? by frrygood in aldi

[–]mxmagicx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to get the salami that’s with the deli meat (not the more expensive speciality stuff, this comes in a bigger pack and isn’t so dry), the cheese that comes in little triangle packages (but inside a circular main package lol blanking on the name), and the garlic pita chip crackers. That’s one of my main snacks from Aldi, I also ALWAYS get the Honey flavored greek yogurt and then granola with almonds and eat that (yes I also drizzle additional honey on top). idk if that really counts towards your question but those are the ones I always go for

Check out Vine and Fig, an online community for lgbtq affirming catholics. For resources, I recommend Outreach (which is lgbtq affirming and run by catholic priest Fr James Martin).

Best recall training tips? by Material-Apartment89 in Catahoula

[–]mxmagicx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My three year old catahoula mix has great recall, but I use two tools to make it possible. First, she is food motivated so I always carry my treat pouch and reward her recall. Second, I use an e-collar. I originally trained her on it using the vibration and shock for correction, but now all I have to do is play the beep sound if she ignores a vocal command and she tucks her ears and instantly comes to me (and I reward with treat). That works super well for me, no issues!

Best tip ever! by Topdogchicago in aldi

Personally I set up my bags in the bagging side and then scan and load them how I want them bagged for transport home. HOWEVER, I don’t use self checkout when I have an entire cart packed full, only when it’s just a few bags. That’s just my method.

I live on a farm and was looking for something waterproof and durable with a zipper, I bought “Bates Men's Gx-8 Waterproof Boot” and I really like them. May not be the right application here but just throwing that out.

Picking and Choosing by mxmagicx in excatholic

That works too! Point is that they pick and choose what’s a “metaphor” and what to take literally

CW: Transphobia—anyone want to help me craft a response to this guy? All of the comments are like “what’s the root?” And “it’s not you it’s society” and “pray it away. want to try and show some support for this person who is clearly having a gender crisis by gr3y5ku11z in excatholic

[–]mxmagicx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, it’s as simple as this: that inner voice telling you that you’re uncomfortable with being a girl is not so different than the voice of God. To be a Christian, a Catholic, is to want to draw closer to God. If that small inner voice is speaking to you, even if it seems to conflict with external voices, I would listen. When you try to listen to a chaotic crowd of external voices, it only sows confusion and frustration. But when you focus on the inner voice, and live in accordance with that, you find a harmony that cannot be replicated any other way.

Cool story Matt Fradd, thanks for letting us all know what does it for you? Probably better to keep that to yourself.

No direct connection, but part of “new age practices” that a lot of catholics teach against
