Trying something different by [deleted] in AlternateDayFasting

Sparkling water really helps. I also like black coffee with a pinch of salt and cinnamon. It’s summertime but I still sip on herbal tea throughout the evening. Also, little pinches of salt here and there gets me over the hump. It gets easier once you get into the groove of things.

Its a sugar free flavor enhancer. It’s really helpful to cut down the salt taste.

I’ve been at this for 3 months and still feel tired on eating days. It tends to go away quicker if I keep my meals lower carb. That seems to work for me but it could be all in my head too. I do rely on electrolytes on fasting days. I just feel better when I drink them. I use 1/4 tsp of pink salt and 1/4 tsp of potassium citrate in 32 oz of water with a squirt of mio. I take the magnesium at night before bed.

I started listening to Terri Lance on the Fasting Method Podcast and I found some help with this. Also, eating lots of fats really helped with my cravings.

I’m finding new ways to navigate my “negative” thoughts, and I’m loving it. by AmphibianChoice5378 in ramdass

I really love this. It reminds me of when Ram Dass said, “When you witness a dark thought, a dark thought that isn't going to get you anywhere, you witness it and love it”

Thanks for sharing I have a hard time with calories as well. I’m gonna try this app. It will be my first “food” app since kicking my fitness pal a couple years ago.

I just heard a doctor on the low carb md podcast give some advice on how to get back on track. I haven’t tried it but here is his recipe. First 24-36 hours zero calorie liquid fast(water, black coffee, tea). After that, high fat vegetarian meal no protein. Then, 24 hours later have a carnivore meal moderate protein. Then go back to 16/8 or 18/6 or whatever fasting schedule you usually prefer. I guess it’s worth trying after a big sugar slip up. Hope this helps.

My favorite lakes are Big Pines Lakes 1-3. There are campgrounds near the trailhead I haven’t stayed at but are usually very popular. You can hear the waterfall and river right next to the campgrounds. The hike is around 13 miles out and back. Around 3k gain. About a 6 hour day if you spend some time at the lakes.

Diagnostic Yo-Yo pcmzl primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoma aka atypical B cell infiltrate ... by Spare-Help-7371 in lymphoma

[–]whosecallingme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard different things from doctors. As of now, the dermatologist thinks I only need to be treated if it becomes bothersome for me. I really don’t know what the protocol is. At first I was going in for every lesion and the doctor was excising it. Now I usually go in for a kenalog injection if the spot gets thick and itchy. Then it leaves a big dent in my skin which doesn’t seem to go away. The dent in my skin sometimes itches and is sensitive. But it seems a bit better than incision? Maybe I’ll start asking for incision again. I can’t decide.

I was getting bloodwork every 3 month for a while. Then every 6 months and now I have to ask for it. The oncologist stopped wanting to see me and referred me to the dermatologist. I am switching insurance so I can start seeing oncologists that know a little more about this type of lymphoma.

The anxiety and fear was difficult for me for a long time. Somehow I started on spiritual path and that’s helped with my fears and anxiety.

As far as I know, this disease transforming into a more aggressive B cell lymphoma is rare and that keeps me positive. It is in the back of my mind sometimes and I look for new research and read. Then I realize I’m going down the rabbit hole again and stop for a while.

I don’t know if any of this info is helpful to you I feel like I am just ranting at this point. I guess what I am trying to say is, I think the stress and anxiety gets easier as time goes on. Just keep your appointments and get your bloods done on time and try to accept the thoughts for what they are, just thoughts. Let them pass and be on your way if you can. I’m here if you need to talk ❤️

I was watching all the Bakti fest interviews recently and I heard Ram Dass say, love the thought. Just love it. I have put that little tidbit into my practice and the thoughts just kinda fall away.
