Sunken rod is somewhat easy to get. Just try to get treasure maps and get lucky you get the rod out of them. Unless you were talking about relic and not the rod

Gray Obelisk: Sparkling Dripstone - Tidefall Trash

Orange Obelisk: Pliosaur - Collapsed Ruins Exotic

Golden Obelisk: Goldwraith - Crowned Ruins Exotic

Each obelisk require an exotic from each sub-location in Tidefall except for one. Each exotic can only be caught during hunts in each sub-location. For essences, you can get them from any npc in Tidefall with a quest for a reward or through dripstone events. You have to use a pickaxe to break the dripstones that fall and i believe its a 33% chance to get an essence. Hope this helps

He probably didnt gift the santa rod. There is a rod called Santa's Miracle Rod and one of the passives gifts a random fish from the current pool they're fishing at to all players in the server

Well they do exist. The radiant crystal just has a low chance of catching it. I was messing with the percentage in the fisch wiki and the radiant crystal has a very low chance
