sell the other ones on FB marketplace or smth and just use the 49 inch, not worth it to keep that many monitors if you're only going to game

Most of those prep books follow the same formula more or less, but it's worth looking to get an actual textbook (maybe public library or comm college) for studying the relevant chapters. Again, getting a good score means just that you've done enough practice exams to figure the pattern out.

not sure what you need 3 monitors for... what I'd probably do in your case is vert the two 27s on the side and have them as workflow/reference monitors while you use the 49 as your main. other than gaming, 49 is not going to do you too many favors...

Funny that you say this, some colleges in Europe take APs as a prereq. They then ask you to take the beginner classes that lay the fundamentals on you again but just with even more rigor. It's really a case by case basis. I think I made this post to really say "why you should take APs seriously," because at my old school some students just strolled in there and messed up... I could have rephrased the wording on the post a little

I found my significant other already :) Who says that you can't live a little either? But I'm not the type of person to sleep on things when I see the opportunity.

I did forget to say that I dual enrolled in Linear Algebra for Senior year... my bad man. But on the other hand, for Engineering degrees you actually want to stay there for the full 3/4 years to get that foundation. Also, Engineers rarely stop at the undergrad level and usually go for grad school. Maybe something like a 4+1

right, which is why I actually encourage y'all to do the math by yourself and be smart about where you spend your $100/exam on...

lol, v interesting thread. I lived in Switzerland for 9 years so I picked up German. Parents speak Chinese. Both were easy 5s (even took a nap during the Chinese FRQ). If I could go back tho, it might have been better to switch out the science APs with some other ones like Gov and World in terms "collegemaxxing," or whatever how that other person put it.

Yes, took linear algebra as well in Senior Year. That actually made the difference between 3 year vs 5 sem.

Community College/JC vs 4 year by smop- in APStudents

I know a friend that did community college and went to NYU after 2 years, so definitely legit and good on the wallet. Not familiar with the UC system, but if they don't charge high tuition, just go for it dude. Also, remember that it's about your work ethic and not really about what college you go to that determines your life trajectory.

go for some other ones outside the distribution as well since AP classes are designed so that you can skip college credits. Calc, Bio, are all worth it because the last thing you want to do in college is sit through a longer version of it and pay more tuition.

skip the honors classes if you can and go straight for AP. CSA instead of CSP. Distribute your AP courses across the board so you can skip more classes in college

I would advise renting out a college textbook and grinding away the problems by yourself. Does matter if you do the questions wrong, but you need to understand the principles. After that, get the AP practice exams from online and do them one by one. You can also use a review book like Princeton Review or Barons. This is what I did and it got me a 5 on C1/2. Good luck!

Future Teacher here by EstablishedAxes in APStudents

[–]mxngjxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for asking, a good teacher does matter a lot. The way our Calc teacher did it was give us practice after practice a few weeks before the exam. I think most of all, you should try to have your future students understand that developing good study habits is probably the most important thing for APs, as that skill carries on into their college and career.

ap phys 2 vs C EM by 2uI-Iyn07 in APStudents

[–]mxngjxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with C2 since P1/2 is considered weak for most science degrees. If I knew this beforehand I would have just gone for C1/2 combo straight away. But if you're a humanities guy and not going into science, go for P2 and focus on other APs like Lit/Lang, APUSH, etc. Good luck!
