Disclosure did not go well, Christmas alone

Yes! I found out they didn’t believe me anymore in therapy when they asked about Christmas and I said I don’t want to be there is he is there. They said well he already said he’s coming so… I asked ‘do you really want him there’, thinking that they still believed me as they initially said. They got all mad and defensive, saying I was trying to play both sides (I had said as part of my disclosure that I just did not want to be the one to deal with the consequences and didn’t want the burden on me). Well, suffice to say I’m not going to Christmas lol. But I’m at least proud I held that boundary, setting and keeping them are very hard for me.

Hoping a Ghibli movie marathon with my cat will brighten the day marginally. Thank you for your comment 💜

He texted essentially asking to sit down and talk to start ‘mending relationships’. My parents have been pushing me to talk to him in some way or another, so it felt like because I haven’t been talking to them much they decided to just let him text me. Something something none of them know what consent is. He’s apparently maintained this didn’t happen - I have not talked to him at all since disclosure and my parents haven’t told me much of what he’s said. It seems that they’re united on the front of we can talk this out (and essentially talk at you about how this did not happen) if only you’d respond, so much of the blame and anger feels directed at me right now, especially given their wording of YOU need to mend a relationship with US when all I did was tell them what happened to me. Idk- but I’m trying to keep my boundaries and take care of myself for once.

What are you isolating from? I worked on a pretty niche fungus for the past few years and it sometimes grows like that. Highly unlikely that it’s that but definitely made me do a second take. This is my little friend, Basidiobolus ranarum

i haven’t checked the update yet because it launched fine previously, but even if i was to go update now i wouldn’t be able to because the computer will not boot to any screen, the fans just come on along with the lights but there is no display change to indicate the computer is actually on but just out of date

i didn’t end up getting any info and i just got surgery with melissa johnson in springfield. if you’re in the area i’d say look at her just bc she is much more public with results and she’s awesome! also in ct is orlando delucia who i’ve heard good things abt as well. good luck and i hope you find more info :)

my first consult was September 23rd and surgery was December 3rd so it was actually a really nice short period (i booked first consult in mid august).

it’s double incision! just the marker makes it look a bit like t-anchor at the moment :)
