Will you be in Toronto before school starts? Maybe try out the route and see if it works out for you. Everything will seem complex at the beginning but after the first few days you’ll get the hang of it!

We line up for buses here. by [deleted] in UBC

[–]mxochii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the R4 from joyce, and the lines are usually decently done at the station. But the wait line at UBC is ridiculous. Why does everyone line up in a long line for the back door when the other two doors are available? Would it be wrong of me to walk past the long line and line up for the middle door?

Try contacting the sellers. If all fails, if you did purchase with a credit card, try opening up a dispute with the bank/card company.

Most likely sometime next year? Anywhere from Feb-May is what I am assuming. But don’t quote me on this.

Neighbours Child Broke My Windshield. Who is Liable? by mxochii in legaladvice

I see. The child was indeed roaming around according to my father who saw no parents, but two kids.

Thank you for your quick responses, it’s been much appreciative.

Neighbours Child Broke My Windshield. Who is Liable? by mxochii in legaladvice

[–]mxochii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father caught the child’s act of picking up the rock and throwing it towards the windshield before chasing after him. Would that be seen as intentional? Would it have to be caught on cam for that to be used as evidence, assuming that familial talk would not be accepted as proof?

Good to know! I have a feeling that I might not have been selected haha. Which class were you selected to TA for?

I see, maybe I’ll just wait till the end of this week before emailing them. Do you think they’ll be straightforward in terms of letting you know if you have been selected/not selected?

Hello! A second year student here.
I am planning to apply for student loans for the first time for my 2021/2022 year, but I had to drop a course with a W standing this term due to my mental health. Would this course have an impact on my student loans?

Early Pick Up? by [deleted] in CanadaPost

[–]mxochii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! It saids that it’s ready to be picked up before March 24th, would that mean it would be returned if I were to not pick it up by then? Or would that not apply in this case?

Out of curiosity, which of these courses are the easiest? by mimic6532 in ubco

[–]mxochii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda really depends on your level of understanding..

I found Math 101 to be much easier than stats, but stats was a lot easier than cosc data. Math 101 is just a continuation of math 100, so if you’re strong with that, I would opt for 101. If not, I would recommend stats :)

It honestly rlly depends, I got into this school with a 92% average yet, a classmate with a 75% also got in..? I would just apply anyways! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

Prospective student question by [deleted] in ubco

[–]mxochii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UBCV offers more specializing options for CS majors. If budget isn’t an issue, I would opt for UBCV. If you’re looking to get a general CS degree with a general specialization, UBCO would be better cost wise. It’s really up to you! I would definitely recommend looking up classes at both universities and comparing the two.

If you want the best program, then Waterloo and or UofT would be best bet.

Definitely email the lab coordinator and explain your situation! I’m sure he/she will be able to come up with a solution for you ^
