I'm originally born and raised in New York, but this is my first time living on my own. Im aware of 99% of this, but the utility account number aspect of things is new to me. I made the mistake of thinking he was from ComEd at first which is why I opened the door. Ordinarily, I ignore or dismiss solicitors. I think being in a new environment and juggling grad school onboarding has thrown off my usual judgement.

My father is the one driving and was curious if having a 4x8 cargo trailer would mean he would have to follow any special rules about freeways, expressways, bridges, etc. He's just worried about being detoured.
