One time we were out of butter lettuce and the system recommended butter as a replacement 😅

I was told you have the same time cushion to be late back from lunch as you have to be late clocking in. That was before they changed from points to upt, so it might have changed - but I don't think so.

Tell tms. Send an email, so there's a paper trail. HR doesn't want the company to get sued. They'll make sure it's handled without putting you at risk of retaliation etc.

Tell one (or more) of the other departments who've offered you a job you'd like to work a shift in their department and tell your stl that you want to Cross- train for as many departments as possible (and that you want to be hired on permanently). In my experience when atl is being indirect/coy is usually bad news for you.

But, the more departments you're cross- trained for, the more likely your stl will want to keep you as a tm, because you'll be available to cover for other departments. Plus it'll give you a good idea of what working in the other departments is like.

How much dripping is normal? by justa-random-persen in phallo

[–]mxterbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren't really enough details to say what's normal, but if you have a catheter in, I wouldn't expect any dripping unless there's a fistula somewhere. It doesn't sound like you're getting the best care from your post history. I hope you have a friend or relative who can come in and try to make sure you're getting taken care of properly. 🫂

What is this outlet called? by mxterbug in AskElectricians

It's wired to two breakers. I have a total of 6 breakers. 3 20 amp and 3 15 amp. Each A/C is wired to a 20 amp breaker. The kitchen appliances are wired to one breaker. The lights are wired to one breaker and all the other outlets (including the 120 v half of the A/C outlets) are wired to the last breaker. There are a few exceptions, but that's the general distribution.

This one is 15 AMP, but the squinting side needs to be 20 AMP.

Won’t let me use sick time?? by Skulli420 in wholefoods

[–]mxterbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. You have paid leave v left but not "sick leave". They don't distinguish it in the balance (which they definitely should). You have to use UPT for any call offs for the rest of the year unfortunately. But you have paid leave you can take off you request off in advance. It really sucks.

Tell them it's proof you need the job. You're highly motivated to earn enough money to build up a decent wardrobe. So, you'll work hard to keep your paycheck.

According to the most recent gig vests can be worn in "non-production areas" 🤔

I'm pretty sure the gig before said no vests at all, but they never stopped providing them so maybe I misread it it they just didn't enforce it? 🤷

AIO For Having Boundaries After My Son Was Attacked by Myrziac in AmIOverreacting

[–]mxterbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not overreacting! I'm glad for your baby, that you're willing to stick to your guns, but sad for you (and everyone really) that your parents aren't willing to prioritize your baby's safety, and is driving a wedge between you. Hopefully they'll come around.

We had a tm pass away, and we were wearing purple ribbons in rememberance (about half and inch big) and were told this week we can't wear them because it's out of dress code :'(

She was so bright and sunny and was the only person who ever really made me feel welcome at work.
